Frequently Asked Questions
What is your timeline to receive my ring?
Every ring is custom-made with great attention to detail, so timelines vary depending on the design complexity and stone availability. Most custom rings are completed within 4–6weeks from design approval. Once your ring is finished, we’ll share detailed photos and videos for final approval before securely shipping your piece with insurance. If at any point you have questions about what stage of production your ring is in, we will happily provide that information.
What are lab diamonds?
Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds. They are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds, meaning they have the same brilliance, fire, durability, and sparkle. The key difference is their origin. While natural diamonds are formed beneath the earth over billions of years, lab-grown diamonds are created in a controlled environment using advanced technology that replicates the natural diamond-growing process.
Because they share the same crystal structure and chemical composition as natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds are also a 10 on the Mohs Hardness Scale—the highest possible rating. This makes them an excellent choice for everyday wear, including engagement rings designed to last a lifetime.
For many couples, lab-grown diamonds offer the perfect balance of beauty and value. Because they are more affordable than comparable natural diamonds, you can often choose a larger carat weight or higher color and clarity while staying within your budget.
At Diamonds by Ari, we believe there is no "right" or "wrong" choice—only the choice that's right for you.
A lab-grown diamond is an exceptional choice if you want a real diamond while maximizing your budget, offering the same timeless beauty and lasting durability as a natural diamond with greater flexibility in size, quality, and price.
What is Moissanite?
Moissanite is a gemstone known for its exceptional sparkle and fire. It offers a brilliant appearance similar to a diamond but with more rainbow-like flashes of light. Ranking 9.25 on the Mohs Hardness Scale, it is one of the hardest gemstones used in fine jewelry, making it an excellent choice for everyday wear. Moissanite is a stunning alternative for those looking to maximize their budget, allowing you to enjoy a larger, eye-catching center stone without compromising on style. Beautiful, durable, and designed to last, moissanite is a wonderful choice for a lifetime of wear.

Why is your pricing so different from traditional retailers?
At Diamonds by Ari, we believe exceptional craftsmanship shouldn't come with unnecessary markups. The engagement ring industry has a reputation for complicated pricing and significant markups. We’ve taken a different approach by focusing on transparent pricing and helping our clients get the most value for their investment. By working directly with trusted manufacturing partners, we're able to offer competitive pricing without compromising on quality.
Our commitment means you'll always know what you're paying for, allowing you to invest in your ring you truly love with confidence.
Are your stones certified?
Our lab-grown diamonds are IGI certified, while our natural diamonds are commonly certified by GIA or IGI, depending on the specific stone.
Each certification provides an unbiased assessment of your diamond's cut, color, clarity, and carat weight, giving you confidence in the quality and authenticity of your purchase.
Unlike natural and lab-grown diamonds, moissanite is not graded by organizations such as GIA or IGI. Instead, quality is determined by the manufacturer based on characteristics such as cut, color, clarity, and overall craftsmanship.
Can you source a specific stone for me?
Absolutely! If you're looking for a specific stone, or diamond shape, carat weight, color, clarity, or ratio, we'd be happy to source options tailored to your preferences. We work closely with trusted suppliers to carefully select stones that meet your desired specifications.
If you already have a particular diamond in mind or are searching for something unique, let us know. We'll work with you to find a beautiful stone that fits both your vision and your budget.
Can you recreate a ring I found online?
We welcome inspiration photos and can use them to understand your style preferences. Rather than creating exact replicas, we'll work with you to create a design inspired by your vision while making it uniquely yours.
Can you help me stay within budget?
Absolutely. Whether your budget is $2,000 or $20,000, we'll help you prioritize the features that matter most and recommend options that maximize both beauty and value.
Do you ship internationally?
We proudly ship internationally. Additional fees may apply.
Can you tell the difference between lab grown diamond and a natural diamond?
In nearly all cases, no. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds. They possess the same brilliance, fire, hardness, and crystal structure, making them indistinguishable to the naked eye. The only difference is their origin—natural diamonds are formed beneath the earth over billions of years, while lab-grown diamonds are created in a controlled environment using advanced technology that replicates the natural diamond-growing process. Specialized laboratory equipment and grading reports are typically required to determine whether a diamond is natural or lab-grown. For many couples, lab-grown diamonds offer the same beauty, durability, and longevity as natural diamonds while allowing for a larger or higher-quality stone at a more accessible price point. Both natural and lab diamonds test positive with a diamond tester.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We understand that an engagement ring is a meaningful investment. To make the process more manageable, we offer flexible payment options. A 30% deposit secures your custom ring and allows us to begin the design process. The remaining balance can be paid throughout production, with full payment due before your ring is shipped. If you have a specific timeline or budget in mind, we're happy to work with you to create a payment schedule that fits your needs.
Do you work with other jewelry?
Yes! We make tennis bracelets, wedding bands, pendants. Just about any idea you have we can bring it to life.
